I am Debbie Sherwood, I am the mental health lead, and I am based in the Wellbeing Room. I am here to support any student in the school with any issues or concerns they may have regarding their or others wellbeing. In the school we have a range of wellbeing interventions to support students, such as anxiety workshops, positive relationships support and mindfulness. As a wellbeing team we work closely to refer students quickly to support with the right intervention and build positive relationships with those students to encourage their honesty and so they take on advice. We have a specially designated area for workshops and counselling sessions and is supported by Miss Saunders throughout the school day.

My role is also to engage and support families who are having difficulties such as housing, relationships, finances, mental health, drugs and alcohol misuse referring families to appropriate outside agencies and giving support to students in school where necessary.
