Community

All students at The Sittingbourne School grow to understand and respect the idea of community.  They develop pride in our whole-school community, and an appreciation of society, the global community and their place in the wider world.

Our school year teams are the centre of pastoral care and they embody our values and ethos. All students are part of a school family, be it Year 7 to Year 11 or later in their schooling in the sixth form community.  The year teams create a sense of belonging within the whole school, making a big school feel smaller.  Each year team monitors and supports students’ wellbeing and academic progress, and they are often the first point of contact for parents and carers.
