2020 GCSE Results - Key Stage 4

Congratulations to all of our students, we are really pleased that they were awarded grades commensurate with all their achievement and hard work over the past five year.

 

Headlines

61% of students received a Grade 4 or higher in English and mathematics.
A number of students achieved Grade 9s across a range of subjects, including English, mathematics and science.

The Basics

  • Standard Pass - Grade 4 or higher in English and mathematics: 61%
  • Strong Pass - Grade 5 or higher in English and mathematics: 30%

Destinations for Year 11 in 2020:

  • 92% of our students are staying in education (Sixth Form or college).
  • 2.4% of our students are going into employment.

 

2020 A-Level Results - Key Stage 5

Our sixth form students have worked incredibly hard for these excellent outcomes and we are delighted that despite the current situation, they are moving forward with their lives, into exciting new careers and degree studies.  What more could we ask for in such times.

Headlines

  • 87% of students achieved an A* to C grade at A Level and Level 3 qualifications.
  • A number of students achieved A* and A grades within our A Level subjects.
  • All of our students who had conditional offers for a range of degree studies at University, met their entry requirements and have now taken up their places this Autumn.

Celebrating Success

With such strong results, our students are now progressing into some exciting destinations for their futures.

  • Josh Clare, who achieved top grades in English Literature, History and Media A Levels, with an EPQ, now moves to Oxford University to read English Literature and Language.  Josh is the first student from The Sittingbourne School to gain an Oxbridge place.
  • Olivia Brookman, achieved a top triple Health and Social Extended Diploma, now starts her training at University of Greenwich to become a midwife.
  • Jack Dighton, achieved top grades in Business, Computing, Finance and EPQ and will be attending the London Institute of Banking and Finance to study Finance, Investment and Risk.
  • Lillian Lyle, achieved good A Levels in English Literature, Sociology and Psychology to secure her university place at Westminster, to study Law.
  • Imogen Mogan, achieved a top triple Health and Social Extended Diploma and now starts with Canterbury Christchurch University, to study Professional Policing.
  • Chyna Whitley achieved her Level 3 Professional Catering qualification and is becoming a Navy Cadet (chef), with the Royal Navy.
  • Rosie Exall achieved a top triple Health and Social Extended Diploma and has gained full time employment with Grove Park Primary School, as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Eddie Smith, gained top grades in Art, History and Media A Levels and is going to be studying Design for Theatre and Screen at UCA.
  • Alex Dicu, gained top grades in Business, Computing and Drama and now returns to University in Romania, to study Computer Science.
